Update on EU/UK shipments, and a few other updates

Hello backers!
Couple updated for you today:
EU/UK Shipping
- Freight has been picked up from our manufacturer and is en route to the UK Port. Once it arrives at the UK Port on August 5th, it will take 1-2 weeks to get to ShipQuest’s distribution warehouse in Germany. ShipQuest will then do the analysis for the project in preparation for fulfillment before the games are shipped to EU/UK backers. When we have more specific details, we will share them.

Please note: The process for final address changes in EU/UK varies from the other distributions. Emails will not be sent right before fulfillment so please make sure that if EU/UK addresses need to be changed you email [email protected] by August 5th so we can be sure to provide any updates to fulfillment.
Good Cause Copies
- We are in the process of preparing the first batch of donated copies for fulfillment. Those who have already shared a donation location will be in the first wave, which includes donated copy locations provided by August 1st. Please continue to use this form here to submit donation locations
- We will continue sending Good Cause copies as we receive requests until we run out of Good Cause donated copies, so keep sending us locations even if you read this after the August 1st deadline.
- Some copies of Critical Core were damaged in manufacturing or freight, and we have decided to donate the slightly damaged games to other locations, separate from the Kickstarter fulfillment, instead of them ending up in a landfill. If you know of places that might still be able to use and benefit from a less-than-perfect copy of Critical Core, please email us at [email protected].

Let’s answer some questions!

Hello backers!
We’ve noticed some common questions coming through in both messages and comments, so we wanted to provide some answers to these common questions in an update. If you have further questions feel free to email [email protected].
Where are the Level Up Dice?
The fancy dice are being boxed up this week to be sent to backers at the Benefactor pledge level and above.
Where can we get extra digital character sheets/digital materials?
You should still be able to access your digital content through Backerkit if you need to reprint character sheets, maps, etc. We are also in the process of creating a page on the Critical Core website where you can easily download character sheets in multiple versions. We’ll let you know when that page is up.
What about the additional Critical Core digital modules?
The “guest author” digital modules are in the process of being written. We have the plot outlines for all 3 digital modules, a rough draft for one and a half rough draft for the second. We’ll keep you posted on the progress as we continue to work on them. They are coming along and will be prioritized as the very first Critical Core material to be released.
What’s the deal with the Critical Core videos?
The original plan for these videos was to have a film crew help film them in person at the Game to Grow headquarters and have them feature a live cast of example players. Then came COVID. We waited for a while for things to clear up, and ultimately shifted our vision to have the videos use animatics instead of a live cast. We’ve been working with various artists and though we can’t make an announcement on partnerships until contracts are signed, we’re very excited to be working with a great team to produce these videos! Keep an eye out for more information about the progress of that part of the project.
Can you give an update about EU/UK distribution?
Our EU/UK distributor is working with the manufacturer on the details of the freight. We are working with a great logistics company to navigate the complexity of VAT (Value Added Tax), which has proven to be both very challenging to navigate and very expensive. However, it is coming along and we’ll provide further updates as soon as we know them!
What’s the process for donated “Good Cause” copies?
Donated copies will be distributed after general backer fulfillment is complete, and we will be sending donated kits directly to the person or address that backers have designated.
We’d love to have all the suggestions for donated copies in by August 1st so we can ship out the first batch of donated copies after general fulfillment. Please provide the location you’d like your donated copy to go using this form: https://gametogrow.org/criticalcore/donate/
If you would like to have the donated copy sent directly to you so that you can personally bring that copy to your donation location, you’re perfectly allowed to do so. Simply put in your own address for the donation location and we’ll send it to you.
If you don’t have a specific donation location in mind, that’s not a problem! We will hold onto those donated copies as ready-to-go donated kits to send to other good causes who will benefit. We’ve already been contacted by many additional hospitals, schools, and clinics who’ve heard about Critical Core.

US shipment is through customs!

Hello everyone,
We have exciting news! The US shipments are through United States customs! Our distributor Quartermaster Logistics is going through inventory and getting everything prepped to start shipping out to backers!
Some of you may have already received emails from [email protected], to your Kickstarter/Backerkit email giving you the opportunity to update your mailing address. The email looks something like this:
Please make sure that you verify your address using the link in the email! If you need to change your shipping address, this will be your last opportunity to do so.
We’re very excited to hear everyone’s first impressions and feedback when they have the physical kits in their hands! Please share your images and experiences at [email protected]!

A fulfillment update!

Hello backers!
New update from fulfillment!
Australia/New Zealand: Fulfillment is currently expected to start late next week or early the week after.
Asia: Fulfillment is underway! Please note that fulfillment takes longer in Asia than other regions, as they will be sent as consolidated shipments to specific regions and may have significant travel time.
EU/UK: We’re still waiting on delivery estimates from our distributor but we will keep you posted!
United States: The shipment is being examined at US customs. After the container is released from customs, the forwarder will schedule deliveries.
We have shared the final list of addresses with fulfillment and are no longer accepting emailed address changes. However, you will get a final message from fulfillment to confirm your address if a change ends up being necessary.
As soon as you receive your copies, please let us know! Share your photos with us, and remember to share your stories!
We have some “Good Cause” donated copies still looking for good homes, so please share recipient suggestions here: https://gametogrow.org/criticalcore/donate/ Please try and provide suggestions for donated copies by August 1st so we can ship out the first batch of donated copies after general fulfillment.

Ships are cleared through customs in Australia and will be in USA soon!

Hello backers! Delivery dates keep getting closer!
We just heard from our logistics company that the Australian shipment has cleared customs and is at the fulfillment hub. US shipment is due to arrive at the US port in Tampa, Florida in about a week! They're set to arrive at the US fulfillment hub in the beginning of June. We have also finally solved VAT issues for our EU/UK shipments so there will be more info on EU and UK deliveries coming soon! Keep an eye out for another update when we have more specific information about European delivery.
We've had some great stories about how Critical Core is already being used in clinics, schools, and houses around the world. Game to Grow has also been running Critical Core in our hospital-based groups. Many of you have shared your print-and-play setups and the diligent care you have put into your games. We cherish each message we get and we're so excited to have physical kits out in even more places across the globe!
We've received messages from many of you concerned about moving and changing addresses. Though addresses are technically locked, we still have the means to change addresses manually, so if you have an address change, please send it to [email protected].
